Time to say good-bye

Yes, tomorrow I'm heading back to Austria!!! There's not really much left to say but I had a ball!!! It was amazing!! And I hope that everyone had a good time reading my blog and seeing the photos!! I can't wait to read through my "online diary" as soon as I'm back in Austria and sort of awake!!! I'm looking forward to seeing all of you (friends and family) in Austria!! I better start writing now because otherwise I start crying again!! I had a great time and I will miss my aussie mates a lot!! Especially my Deedee!! Pooohhoooo... soooo sad!!!.....

Last Road Trip

Last weekend we went to see Kirsten and other friends of Dee down in the south of WA. The road trip took 3 days and we drove for about 1000 km... nice!!! The tour was from Cunderdin to Katanning and then over to the coast to Dunsborough and Yallingup!! Fabulous trip with fabulous people!!! Dee's friends are all awsome and soooo nice!! Their hospitality was amazing!! Thanks for having us!! I have to say it again!! The landscape in the south of WA is just beautiful!! I just say wine, hills, bush, huge waves and greatgreat people!! Thanks DeeDee for taking me!!!

Finally back on the farm

Jipihhhh.. I'm finally back on the Carter Farm!! Yeah!! I'm having such a good time... but just check out the photos and you know what I'm talking about!!! We came back here on Monday and it's Friday already!! Time goes way too quickly!! And we are working hard every day!! It's not easy to be a sheep girl.. but lucky me I have Dee.. and she always knows what to do!! We are getting up every morning around 7 - 8 o'clock and start working! It's great!! And Dee's family is just awsome!! Oho... don't forget about the landscape and all the animals I've seen already!!... Kangaroos, foxes, eagles, parrots, cockies, cat (only one.. Smoodge), dog (only one too... BEAR DOG), sheep, sheep and some sheep... and oho... more sheep!! I LOVE IT!!!!! But actually you probably wanna know what I'm exactly working. Good question since I've no idea about farming! But there are still a lot of things to do for me. I can drive the ute around and open and close gates (and there are sooo many of them). I was sitting on the traktor with Chris for one afternoon and even got to drive the huge traktor for 3 laps around a huge paddick!! Yeah!! Then I helped Dee to shift sheep from one paddick to another one and this morning we were separating the lambs from their mothers because something very painful is about to happen to the poor little things. I prefer not to go into detail on this.. just say "schnipp-schnapp someting's up"... Alright.. I have to go back to work now!!

Sunset at Scabs

WHAT A SUNSET, LADIES AND GENTLEMEN!!!! it was amazing... I can't believe that we are actually in winter now in Perth.. it just doesn't feel like it... you know.. I'm Austrian!! well.. I had a day off work yesterday, so I decided to take a little trip to the beach and went to Scabs in the afternoon. It was so nice and warm that I was reading my new book in a normal t-shirt... and that at the beach where it's normally cooler than everywhere else.. it was wonderful!! I watched the surfers and boogie-boarders and was just relaxing .. brilliant! in the evening I went out with steve and kenny from work because it was kenny's b-day! we went to the Rosemount hotel, a pretty cool pub .. but there was a drum&base dj competition on.. which was a little bit wired to see in a pub.. but alright... still, I have to say that my good friend pitronic (vienna) would have blown them away in an instant... as well as my dear flowmoe!! you boys rock defenitely more than what I've seen here so far... concerning the foto I just uploaded.. pretty nice shot, hey??!! I love it.. it has the baywatch feeling.. although I have to say that it doesn't feel like baywatch at all here in Australia... the aussies are very proud of their life guards and it's a pretty serious job!!

New hair and more news

Dee and I decided not to go to Bali for a holiday (which is of course a volunteer decision and has of course nothing to do with our financial situation.. baaaahhhhh) and since I have to leave Australia before the 5th of August because of Visa Reasons I decided to change my flight back to Vienna.. people... I will already be back on the 2nd of August!!! aren't you happy??? I think it's great... I'm looking forward to seeing all my little Austrians in 6 weeks!!! ............... que mas??!!?? well.. I finally remembered my Skype name and I'm ready for receiving calls again!!! the worldcup is pretty interesting and actually I did not expect that much interest in it here in Australia.. but people go crazy about it... poor Socceroos lost against Brazil but we still believe in them .. they will make the next round!! still I'm not very sure if I'm supporting them a 100 %.. my heart still beats sometimes in a spanish rhythm!!.. Venga vamos espanoles!! Dee went to Sydney with her sister for 5 days... and I'll be all alone here in Perth... sniiiieeeff!! but I'll be working loads and earn a lot of money!! yesterday Dee and I went to Fremantle and had a look around the city center.. I love Freo!! it's sooo cute!!! afterwards we went to a really cool cafe in Northbridge.. the Moon Cafe!! I had a yummy Tofu Burger and the music was nice!!! HEEEEEIIII.. I'll be home in 6 weeks... I'm all excited!!

Day on the beach / Ein Tag am Meer

after another intense night in Onyx - to celebrate Dee's friend Tony's birthday - Dee took me down to the beach!! how good was that!!! with our soar heads and slow motions we got some nice sea brise in our faces and chilled on this sunny day!! scabs was great but not good enough.. Dee took me to Hillary's Boat Harbour and we had lunch their (can I just say that I had my first Asian noodles in a paper box in my entire life... I think that's a bit exciting ;) Hillary's is a very nice yacht habour with a mall and a dining area!! it was very nice to have some time off especially since I was working the last 11 days without 1 day off.. can you believe that?? me on my holiday??? but I reeeeally need the money.... I'm trying to work as much as possible at the moment so I can have more time off before coming back to Austria!! and maybe there's a little vacation in Bali on the schedule too!! hihi... soooo nice!!! work is alright.. the people are nice and it's a rather relaxed working environment.. although it gets really busy on weekends and around lunch time every day!! I'm getting used to work now.. my feet don't ache as much as in the beginning anymore and the scratches and dry spots on my hands slowly disappear... I'm such a "baby" .. I know.. there are also some funny things happening at work!! I had to deliver food and coffees to a brothel (Bordell) across the road! yes... I have actually been the first time in my life in a brothel.. quite interesting I think... it's a very luxurious one and the girls are really pretty I have to admit... lucky me there were no guys walking in and out while I was there.. that would be a bit wired I think... baaaaahhhhh... oh.. and the same day I had to hold a huge sign up in the street to offer 2 for 1 for all the people who were driving past the cafe at this time.. so.. literally I was a billboard girl... pretty exciting my life as a waitress!! and exactly the same day that these things happened to me... I got my hair colour done at Clare's hairdressers (she is Dee's flat mate) for only 30 dollars and saw Eskimo Joe walking through the streets in Perth.... what a day!! that was wednesday, the 7th of June 2006.. a memorable day!

Got a job

after having some trouble with Dee's internet I finally get to write another post! I'm now for 3 weeks in Perth and I still love it!! it's a great city and to stay with Dee is absolutely fabulous!!! about 2 weeks ago I had to check my bank account to be able to set up my further travel plans... and found out that I had only 150 Euros left... pooohooooo.. that made the plans rather short... ;) well.. I than decided to start looking for a job in a hostel or cafe... in other words... Dee asked her ex-boss and some people she knows who own places if someone had a job for me.. and hey.. it worked out.. I got an interview at the cafe across the street and that's where I'm helping out now!! I won't name the place just in case the Australian legal forces start searching on blogs for illegal workforce... :( oh yes.. that's me... illegal workforce.. sounds terrible.. I know!!! Though... the first 2 weeks I'm replacing the dishwasher... who is stressed out with exams these 2 weeks and on thursday I will start behind the counter.. the money is not so good... but better than not doing anything without money still.. I told them I would stay for 2 months.. but actually I'm not sure if I do it for that long... I might just work 4-6 weeks.. take my money and dad's credit card... THANKS DAD!!!! and do a bit more travelling before coming home in August... I will see.. but first... I have to earn the honey!!!! ohooo.. I almost forgot... I was watching Wolf Creek yesterday evening on DVD and I'm pretty sure now that I will not go to the Outback anymore... god ... that movie is pretty scary... especially if you had the same trip on your mind before... brrrrr... you have to watch it!!! .............................. hope everyone is fine!!! I'm sooo much looking forward to seeing all of you soon!!!

Back on the farm

it's great! we are back on the farm!! dee's currently on the tractor seeding and I'm helping Wendy in the house! yeahyeah.. that's farmlife! dee and I would make a great couple, right?! hehe.. I also got to help out on the farm a little but there's at the moment not much to do for someone who can not drive a tractor.. puh... something more for me to learn!! but still.. I already got to drive the ute (that's the typical aussie car with the ramp in the back of the car) which is a 4WD (allrad)... it's fun cruising around the paddics!! but hey.. there are news... I will probably get a job in perth.. because I seriously ran out of money! Dee organized me a "trial" at the cafe she was working in before.. and it looks like I'm starting on monday already... 2 sides to that so far.. first one.. I will be earning some money and therefor do maybe a bit more travelling before I come back to Austria .. that's great!! Down side to it is that I won't be staying on the farm as long as I wanted.. but we will see.. maybe in a month or 2 I will stay here for a little bit longer.. we will see.. I might change into a real aussie farm girl!! that's what Rod and Wendy already said ... and just wait to take me to the Cunderdin pub tonight to pick up the man of my dreams!! hehehehe.. that's gonna be fun tonight!!
