Got a job

after having some trouble with Dee's internet I finally get to write another post! I'm now for 3 weeks in Perth and I still love it!! it's a great city and to stay with Dee is absolutely fabulous!!! about 2 weeks ago I had to check my bank account to be able to set up my further travel plans... and found out that I had only 150 Euros left... pooohooooo.. that made the plans rather short... ;) well.. I than decided to start looking for a job in a hostel or cafe... in other words... Dee asked her ex-boss and some people she knows who own places if someone had a job for me.. and hey.. it worked out.. I got an interview at the cafe across the street and that's where I'm helping out now!! I won't name the place just in case the Australian legal forces start searching on blogs for illegal workforce... :( oh yes.. that's me... illegal workforce.. sounds terrible.. I know!!! Though... the first 2 weeks I'm replacing the dishwasher... who is stressed out with exams these 2 weeks and on thursday I will start behind the counter.. the money is not so good... but better than not doing anything without money still.. I told them I would stay for 2 months.. but actually I'm not sure if I do it for that long... I might just work 4-6 weeks.. take my money and dad's credit card... THANKS DAD!!!! and do a bit more travelling before coming home in August... I will see.. but first... I have to earn the honey!!!! ohooo.. I almost forgot... I was watching Wolf Creek yesterday evening on DVD and I'm pretty sure now that I will not go to the Outback anymore... god ... that movie is pretty scary... especially if you had the same trip on your mind before... brrrrr... you have to watch it!!! .............................. hope everyone is fine!!! I'm sooo much looking forward to seeing all of you soon!!!

Back on the farm

it's great! we are back on the farm!! dee's currently on the tractor seeding and I'm helping Wendy in the house! yeahyeah.. that's farmlife! dee and I would make a great couple, right?! hehe.. I also got to help out on the farm a little but there's at the moment not much to do for someone who can not drive a tractor.. puh... something more for me to learn!! but still.. I already got to drive the ute (that's the typical aussie car with the ramp in the back of the car) which is a 4WD (allrad)... it's fun cruising around the paddics!! but hey.. there are news... I will probably get a job in perth.. because I seriously ran out of money! Dee organized me a "trial" at the cafe she was working in before.. and it looks like I'm starting on monday already... 2 sides to that so far.. first one.. I will be earning some money and therefor do maybe a bit more travelling before I come back to Austria .. that's great!! Down side to it is that I won't be staying on the farm as long as I wanted.. but we will see.. maybe in a month or 2 I will stay here for a little bit longer.. we will see.. I might change into a real aussie farm girl!! that's what Rod and Wendy already said ... and just wait to take me to the Cunderdin pub tonight to pick up the man of my dreams!! hehehehe.. that's gonna be fun tonight!!

Party with the Carter Clan

wowowo... after 3 days on the farm it was time to come back to perth and to party with the carter clan... on the foto you can see dee's brother and sister (Chris and Lynsey), as beautiful as their sister!!! we went to a birthday party of dee's friend to a bar called Onyx and got free drinks all night long.. it was great fun... but I don't have to mention the next day... uiuiui.... bad hangover!!!

Cunderdin 1

this weekend I went with Dee to the farm... her family's farm is called Mary-Anne Gully and is in Cunderdin which is about 2 hours drive away from Perth, which means just next door in WA (Western Australia). and since I know that most of you are just waiting to see me on the farm, I do upload the first pixs right now.. dee saved the life of a little lamb and I took a foto of it, I got to watch live sheep sharing, we checked-out Cunderdin City Center (hihi) and went on the road trip with Dee's dad Rod to Catanning which is about 3 hours south of Cunderdin to celebrate Dee's and Rod's friend Kelly's birthday!! so far so good.. I got to sit in a traktor, bake (or better say just decorate because Dee's mum Wendy made them) some party cakes and all in all ejoyed spending my time with Dee's family.. they are great!! and getting to know them... explains a lot about Dee ;) I'm really looking forward to spending some time with them during the next weeks!!! and Dee will also spend some time there because she's helping her dad seeding at the moment! I'm all excited!!!

Last day in NZ

what do you think??? kimi's house and boyfriend... I have to say.. cute, cute!! very good girl!! well done!! thanks again for letting us stay with you guys!! ana and I had a great time!! on the other pix you can se me and Franz Josef (the glacier) on the West Coast of NZ, Lake Matheson with it's incredible view of the Southern Alps.. unfortunately the clouds covered Mt. Cook (highest mountain of NZ with about 3.700 m), a beach just of the glaciers... it's unbelievable.. that beach is only 20 minutes drive away from the bottom of the glacier... wow, and just a pic from our road trip.. the Southern Alps of NZ are sooo beautiful!! we just had the best views!! I seriously can't wait to show you all the fotos that we took during this trip.. there are some amazing, fascinating, incredible views in this country!!!! stunning!!! ana and I are now back in christchurch and fly out of NZ already tomorrow!! we had the best 2 weeks eva.. it was a great trip!!! and although I'm a bit sad that I'm leaving NZ already I'm sooo much looking forward to seeing Dee tomorrow in Perth!!! I can't wait to see her and Perth and to see what she's doing when she's not "playing" in Europe... but now back to NZ... I had wonderful 2 weeks in this country and just can say that it gave me quite an appetite to come back here soon.. there are sooo many things to do and we didn't have time or the weather was too bad.. so I definitely have to come back here and do some more travelling... furthermore the whole trip gave me some great ideas what to do back home in austria once i'm back there... I will have to visit some glaciers, do some hiking and trekking, maybe hang-gliding, kayaking and rafting... puhh.. so much to do for me in the Austrian Alps!!! I'm looking forward try all of it .. and hope that you can come with me ....

Just come back from Queenstown

ana and I just came back from queenstown.. it's lovely... and it's pretty big... it seriously looks like austria there... we had a good day besides a little incident with our van.. I forgot to turn the light off when we went to the city center and when we came back to the van, the battery was empty as... (not very much.. sweet as... for everyone who does not follow me now.... come to NZ). lucky us.. there was a hostel just across the street and as I know there are lovely people working in hostels and a guy went to get his car and the right cable and helped us to get the car started again... that was really sweet as... what an adventure... after playing mini golf yesterday my trip to NZ is becoming more adventurous every day!!! talking about adventure... we just drove by the bridge where they started bungy jumping (in the world) commercially... it's a cute creek.. but I would never-ever jump from that bridge.. brrr..

Wanaka with Kim

Beautiful.. beautiful... Wanaka... it rocks!!! I love it!! hihi... it looks like Austria!! check out the fotos!! so I finally made it to Kim's hometown Wanaka!! isn't it great.. it's so good to see her again!! and I have to say that she seems to have a very nice life here in Wanaka!! her boyfriend Patty is cute and they live in a great house in Wanaka!! and Kim is the best tour guide!! we just arrived here and she took us out for lunch to a very cute cafe a bit outside of town.. we had a great view of the mountains... and the snow on the peaks of them!! yeah yeah.. we can see snow all around us here in Wanaka!!! and accordingly.. it's pretty chilli!! brrrrr.... after lunch we went for a little walk along the river in Wanaka (where I took this beautiful autumn fotos you can see) and then had coffee in the center... Wanaka just seems to be like one of the winter-touristy towns in Austria.. such as Kitzbuehel .. it has the same flair... Ana and I we will meet Kim now and hopefully go for lunch again.. I'm starving... time is flying... and we have only 4 days left in NZ... the plan is to leave Wanaka on wednesday morning (already) and head towards Christchurch via the West Coast where we are going to check out the glaciers of NZ.. I can't wait to see Franz Josef!!!! which is one of the 2 highest and most famous glaciers here in NZ...

Taupo to Wanaka

So we finally arrived in Taupo... and as you can see on the last 2 fotos of this post, it was very beautiful!! Lake Taupo used to be a volcano which exploded about 2000 years ago and left the whole earth in darkness for 3 days because of all the ash in the atmosphere... substances from the volcano where found even in China!! incredible.. hei??!! well... after exploding it just left a big whole in the ground which filled up with water and this is Lake Taupo now... there are some awsome Maori cavings in the rocks around the lake and it's pretty cool to see all the different volcanic stones around the lake. ana and I went on a cruise around the lake before we headed down to Wellington to catch the ferry... guys.. that was a long day!! we sat on the car for 6 hours straight.. no breaks... because I was afraid we would miss the ferry to the South Island... but .. we got it!! on the way down to Wellington we had to cross the Tongariro National Park (next 2 fotos from bottom) which is famous for its Lord of the Rings setting in the world of Mordor... the dark world... it was spooky!! the clouds were not really with us and decided to hide the peak of the volcano from us but still the landscape in teh national park is fascination.. and you can even go skiing there in winter... unfortunately we could not look at the captial of New Zealand, Wellington.. such a pitty!! it's supposed to be really nice and it looked quite Mediterranian to us.. when we were rushing through it to catch the "Interislander"!! the ferry took 3 hours!! and we finally arrived at 21.30 on the South Island in Picton were we went straight to a camping ground, switched on the heating, had a sandwich each and went straight to bed... what a big day!! after having a big sleep in Picton we started making our way down south and our second stop on the South Island was Kaikoura.. famous for whale watching and swimming with the dolphins!!... sounds great.. hei?! but.. the weather was not on our side and the sea was too ruff for the boats to leave the harbour both days we were there.. so... we could not go and swim with the dolphins.. it's such a shame but... can't change the weather, hei?! anyway.. since we could not sail that day we made a nice hike around the pensinsula of Kaikoura.. it was beautiful... we were walking with sheep and cows and got some impressing views of the cliffs and see of the east coast!! it was quite a hike (took us 3 1/2 hours) and after that we decided we had earned ouselves some nice typical meal for the reason.. there's only one thing you hear people raving about in Kaikoura and that's Crayfish.. yummy!!! lucky me, ana even knows how to eat this animal and she showed me... it was delicious!! and since it was friday we went to a pub in Kaikoura and wanted to party a little bit... unfortunately there was nobody out and so we had to drink a couple of regional beers mainly by ourselves.. with exception to a blond guy who insisted he was 25 and Maori and looked like 17... seriously... I did not think he was funny.. anyways.. we got pretty drunk but still went to bed at 23.00.. we cannot believe how different the world is from spain here... everybody goes to bed that early.. but even us.. that's the way!! we are adapting!!! though, the next day we went through Christchurch and actually thought we could make it down to Wanaka in one day!! it turned out it was a bit further away than we thought so we stayed in Lake Tekapo for the night which was a very good decision!! in christchurch we just went for some lunch and coffee, knowing that we are coming back here in a couple of days to catch our flights back to Australia!! so.. the first 2 fotos are taken on lake Tekapo and yesterday morning we had a beautiful drive through the New Zealand Alps down to Kim's hometown Wanaka!!! I can't wait to show you all the fotos from that drive (just one on top).. it's so beautiful!!
