Time to say good-bye

Yes, tomorrow I'm heading back to Austria!!! There's not really much left to say but I had a ball!!! It was amazing!! And I hope that everyone had a good time reading my blog and seeing the photos!! I can't wait to read through my "online diary" as soon as I'm back in Austria and sort of awake!!! I'm looking forward to seeing all of you (friends and family) in Austria!! I better start writing now because otherwise I start crying again!! I had a great time and I will miss my aussie mates a lot!! Especially my Deedee!! Pooohhoooo... soooo sad!!!.....

Last Road Trip

Last weekend we went to see Kirsten and other friends of Dee down in the south of WA. The road trip took 3 days and we drove for about 1000 km... nice!!! The tour was from Cunderdin to Katanning and then over to the coast to Dunsborough and Yallingup!! Fabulous trip with fabulous people!!! Dee's friends are all awsome and soooo nice!! Their hospitality was amazing!! Thanks for having us!! I have to say it again!! The landscape in the south of WA is just beautiful!! I just say wine, hills, bush, huge waves and greatgreat people!! Thanks DeeDee for taking me!!!

Finally back on the farm

Jipihhhh.. I'm finally back on the Carter Farm!! Yeah!! I'm having such a good time... but just check out the photos and you know what I'm talking about!!! We came back here on Monday and it's Friday already!! Time goes way too quickly!! And we are working hard every day!! It's not easy to be a sheep girl.. but lucky me I have Dee.. and she always knows what to do!! We are getting up every morning around 7 - 8 o'clock and start working! It's great!! And Dee's family is just awsome!! Oho... don't forget about the landscape and all the animals I've seen already!!... Kangaroos, foxes, eagles, parrots, cockies, cat (only one.. Smoodge), dog (only one too... BEAR DOG), sheep, sheep and some sheep... and oho... more sheep!! I LOVE IT!!!!! But actually you probably wanna know what I'm exactly working. Good question since I've no idea about farming! But there are still a lot of things to do for me. I can drive the ute around and open and close gates (and there are sooo many of them). I was sitting on the traktor with Chris for one afternoon and even got to drive the huge traktor for 3 laps around a huge paddick!! Yeah!! Then I helped Dee to shift sheep from one paddick to another one and this morning we were separating the lambs from their mothers because something very painful is about to happen to the poor little things. I prefer not to go into detail on this.. just say "schnipp-schnapp someting's up"... Alright.. I have to go back to work now!!

Sunset at Scabs

WHAT A SUNSET, LADIES AND GENTLEMEN!!!! it was amazing... I can't believe that we are actually in winter now in Perth.. it just doesn't feel like it... you know.. I'm Austrian!! well.. I had a day off work yesterday, so I decided to take a little trip to the beach and went to Scabs in the afternoon. It was so nice and warm that I was reading my new book in a normal t-shirt... and that at the beach where it's normally cooler than everywhere else.. it was wonderful!! I watched the surfers and boogie-boarders and was just relaxing .. brilliant! in the evening I went out with steve and kenny from work because it was kenny's b-day! we went to the Rosemount hotel, a pretty cool pub .. but there was a drum&base dj competition on.. which was a little bit wired to see in a pub.. but alright... still, I have to say that my good friend pitronic (vienna) would have blown them away in an instant... as well as my dear flowmoe!! you boys rock defenitely more than what I've seen here so far... concerning the foto I just uploaded.. pretty nice shot, hey??!! I love it.. it has the baywatch feeling.. although I have to say that it doesn't feel like baywatch at all here in Australia... the aussies are very proud of their life guards and it's a pretty serious job!!
