The best eva

Wowowo... thats all I can say... I was on the reef.. yes ladies and gentlemen.. I was out on the great barrier reef!! and believe it or not.. it was incredible... I loved it!! It is sooo beautiful out there.. I thought I was watching TV.. and the best thing that happened to me today was that I did my first dive!! YES.. I was swimming with NEMO and ... everyone listens up please.. I was swimming with 2 SHARKS.... not just swimming.. I was diving with them!! the whole story is that I actually wanted to go snorkeling but they had a special offer where you could also get 1 dive for free.. so... good me... I went and did it... it was great!!! I'm seriously considering now taking diving lessons and getting my license while I'm here on the east coast.. I will see. I got so many new impressions today.. it was unreal... the world looks really different down there... :) and the bestest thing was that we went out on a boat for 30 people but it was only 8 of us.. the crew was really nice and I was diving for at least 60 minutes whereas others con only go for 10 minutes!! SOOO COOOL!!! Cant believe how lucky I was today!! oh yeah, and dont forget people.. there are sharks out there... just.. they are not as dangerous as you hear.. at least thats what told me the boys on the boat.. :) well.. thats it for today.. I will go and have a beer now... all good!!

Kuranda

Hi there!! Yes, its unbelievable but I'm already posting again!! I have to take the advantage of being in a city and to have internet all day long!! Ok, mates. the story is.. I was in Kuranda yesterday. It was a daytrip because Kuranda is only about 30 km away from Cairns but it's out in the rainforrest. It was unbelievable.. my first time in the rainforrest!! I went on a boat cruise and took the "Scenic Railway" back to Cairns. It was beautiful. I also went to a National Park up there and got to see kangaroos and a koala bear!! Unfortunately just locked up but I'm sure I will see them in nature soon.. at least I know now what they look like ;)

Brisbane to Cairns

Almost 1 week since I posted my last info on my blog.. wow... time is running!! but actually I'm too!! I saw sooo much stuff this week and I had the best time!!! Brissy was great!!! and Danielle was the best tour guide you could imagine!! While staying with Danielle's family we not only visited Brisbane City but also did some trips with her Aussie-Car.. well.. it took me quite some time to get used to sitting on the driver's side and not having to do anything.. but it was fun.. driving on the left side of the road is still kind of weird to me but I will get used to it. Ok, so we did some great stuff this week. On wednesday we took the ferry over to North Stradbroke Island which is actually calles "Straddie" here. It was beautiful.. I will upload some pics asap but I forgot to bring the cable today.. we went for a walk on the cliffs and then for a swim!! and hei.. I saw my first surfi-boys in action! its quite impressing I have to say! just check out the fotos .. you can't really describe this gorgeous island with words! On Thursday we went to the Brisbane City Center (finally got new hawaianas!! and had a great BBQ at one of Danielle's friends house (Josh and Rachel, and little Nad). I had my first XXXX (say Forex) Beer in a full wettie.. thanx to Josh!! I will never forget that! A wettie (also called Stubby Holder in Western Australia) is a thing that you put around your bottle or can of beer to keep it cool. I'll bring some to Austria.. piggie-tail promise! After that night I already had to say bye to Danielle's Family (for now) and Danielle and me headed up to Noosa and had some little stops in the Queensland Hinterland.. it's beautiful.. I saw the Glasshouse Mountains and read the Aboriginee Story to them. It almost looked a bit like Austria I have to say. Nossa then was great we stayed at the Halse Lodge in the city center of Noosa and had a good time there. Noosa is (as Danielle says) the "Nice - Nizza" of Australia.. it was quite expensive! but very beautiful!! and on the way home we drove down the beautiful Sunshine Coast till Mooloolaba and had a swim and some coffee there before heading to the airport... and that was it!!! I had to say goodbye to Danielle!! soooo sad!!! She drove me to the airport and we said goodbye!! She is such a good girl! Danielle, thanx again for everything!! I had the best time with you and your family!!! Well and I... I took the plane to Cairns!! My individual travel gets started!! I'm staying at a very cool hostel called 'Tropic Days' and I was even picked up from the airport yesterday! They are great and there is sooo much to do here... today I'm just checking out the city and planning the next days.. but I will have to check out the rainforrest and the great barrier reef!! woho... I don't know where to start.. there are just too many offers and tooo many things to do... I will have a chat to the hostel staff afterwards.. they will help me for sure!! Well my friends.. that was it!! There are very nice people staying at the hostel.. I'm sure I will have a great time!! Tomorrow I'm probably going to Kuranda - a town in the rainforrest and be back at the hostel in the evening so I do not miss the Croc BBQ they are offering in the hostel.. ohoh... croc meat... how is that going to taste?!?! I'll find out! Ok then.. all good in oz... more news and pics coming up soon!!! take care everyone and let me know what you are doing???!!

Finally in Brisbane

well yes.. I made it finally to Brisbane (Queensland, Australia) and it's incredible!! although I arrived pretty tired from Taiwan Danielle and her Dad took me down south of Brisbane to go for a "Surf". it was great.. and I stayed awake until 10 pm but then fell into bed like a stone!! Since then I'm enjoying myself everyday more and more... Danielle and her family are just great!! Thank you!! We were so busy during these first days that I couln't even inform you guys about whats going on.. We have had 2 barbis already (BBQs) in the parks of Brisbane, went down the Gold Cost twice and checked out the sharks at Surfers Paradise .. and some shops too, went wine tasting and much more.. I get absoloutly spoiled here in the Kohlman Villa!! Everyone who knows TimTams will know what I'm talking about... who does not has to come to Australia and try them... just a hint.. chocolate yummiiiii... well.. just left to say that I am perfectly alright!! the temperature is about 30 degrees and the sun is out every day!!! I love it... Mama und Papa: momentan stehen die chancen schlecht dass ich wieder heim komme (naaaa... nur ein scherz.. es ist alles in bester ordnung) Stefan: ich bekomme schon nachhilfeunterricht in aussie-english... oh.. and I almost forgot.. my friend Dee came over from Perth for the weekend.. that was great!! Dee sweety: it was great seeing you.. and I'll see you soon in Perth mate!!! hei

Stop-over in Taipei

Juhu... I finally arrived in Australia!! It's brilliant!! But first of all I wanted to show you some pictures of my stop over in Taipei which was pretty amazing... the island is soooo beautiful... but unfortunately I only had 15 hours in the city so I just checked out the main sights, ate some spicy chinese food and McDonalds coffee.. after a flight of 12 and a half and not be able to sleep one is allowed to drink McDo coffee is there is nothing else to find... yeah... ok then.. check out the fotos of the highest building in the world (The Taipei 101) which is probably also the most expensive building to visit in the world ;) about 10 euros to go up to the top of the building ... but still.. it was worth it... after that you see some impressions of the city and the beautiful Botanic Garden.. loved it!!!
